So, guess what – I did a thing. I faced my fears and created my very own You Tube channel today where you can find a reading for each of the 12 Sun Signs now available for your viewing pleasure.

We’re all busy people right? So, as much as I love to sit and watch long, in-depth reads if I have the time, there are times when I fancy watching a reading but haven’t got much time to spare. Hence why I created the “3 Cards 3 Minute” readings – tarot readings for busy people!

So whether you’re a Gorgeous Gemini, a Clever Capricorn, a Saucy Scorpio or an Audacious Aries why not go check out the channel and subscribe by clicking the little bell in the top right corner, which by the way is a great way to support the channel. An added bonus is that you’ll get notified whenever new content is uploaded so you don’t miss a thing (although you can alter this if you wish to in the settings):

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmooI7savAfP5lNHOZ8-zWg/.

As we’re in Pisces season, I’ve uploaded their reading to this post to say Happy Birthday to our Pretty Pisceans:

Happy Birthday Pisces!

Bearing in mind that none of this was planned or scripted content and was something I simply followed my intuition with today to just create, please bear with me in the You Tube content creating learning process!

Also bear in mind, that as these are general readings not all of the messages will resonate with everyone – for that you’ll need a private read, full details of which you can find on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HolisticLivingWithCarla/services. As such, take what applies for you from the free readings and leave the rest.

Other than that, I really hope you all enjoy and feel free to like, share and subscribe:)

Energy Reading: 2020 Rune Reading

What Does 2020 Have in Store for You?

Check out your 2020 12-card spread below – I’ve purposely left it vague in terms of timelines. You may wish to link one card to each month of the year starting January through December or take all the cards as a whole for a general year overview. A further option would be to start with your Sun Sign (often known as star sign) and follow it in order from there. For example, my Sun Sign is Aquarius, so my 2020 rune reading could start there, followed by Pisces and then back to the start, Aries, Taurus, etc.

Have fun with it and remember, the future is never written in stone – even with the runes! We all have the power to change our destiny.

LAGU in the position of Aries:

Lagu is symbolic of flowing water, our emotions and unconsciousness. Aries, a Fire sign, whilst creative and energetic, can be impetuous, impatient and overly dramatic with this pairing. Both the rune and its position suggest a strong intuition.

Work with the watery influence of Lagu to quench overly fiery emotions. Maybe listen to your intuition and pour your creative energies into a hobby or interest you’ve been meaning to start or return to for some time.

KEN in the position of Taurus:

Think of Ken as like fire; warming, illuminating, lively and exciting but also as an element that must be controlled to avoid its destructive tendencies. Taurus, an Earth sign, forebodes stability and solidity, reliability and standing strong.

An unusual mix – stability twinned with excitement. A good time to start/add to your family or start branching out in your life/career.

WYRD in the position of Gemini:

The blank rune of Wyrd denotes that you have reached a crossroads – think carefully before determining your future path. Fate is foretold. Gemini, an Air sign, being the Twins suggests a choice, communication, fun and thoughtfulness.

The start of a new year and decade is indeed a crossroads. Whilst it’s important to think through your options carefully and to communicate your plans to those closest to you, be sure to factor in time for fun and lightheartedness on your future path.

WYN (reversed) in the position of Cancer:

Being reversed, Wyn foretells that 2020 does hold a challenge that you may be unable to overcome. The maternal and nurturing Water sign of Cancer, whilst sensitive and moody at times, is also gentle and all about home and family.

At first glance, this prediction might seem frightening but look back on previous years – was there something that one year you just could not do but then another year overcame it? The prediction is not that you will never overcome a particular challenge, just maybe not in 2020. Call on the support of your nearest and dearest to see you through any challenging times. Take this message as a warning especially if you have an important test or exam coming up, not to be complacent.

SIGEL (reversed) in the position of Leo:

Similar to The Sun card in tarot reading, Sigel denotes spirituality, good health, energy and vitality and even reversed remains a positive influence. Be wary of taking on too much, showing off and/or a tendency towards the dramatic. Fire sign Leo’s ruling planet is also the Sun and Leo often loves to take centre stage and show off but is also loyal, generous, creative and expressive.

Through 2020, be gracious and magnanimous in the good times and in the bad and be sure to share the stage of your life with those who positively add to it to avoid coming off arrogant.

HAGAL in the position of Virgo:

Hagal is a hailstorm whose meaning is similar to the Tower card in tarot – sudden, disruptive and often unexpected change, usually over as quickly as it begins but with the damage caused often lasting longer than the storm itself. This can often relate to health and the Earth sign of Virgo has strong associations to health and well-being as well as strong analytic tendencies.

There may be a sudden and unexpected health change indicated for 2020 – remember prevention is better than cure. Heed the warning now and start taking care of yourself to better prepare for any coming health “storm”. Take time now to analyse where you most need to improve your health and act now and it may well be a blessing in disguise.

IS in the position of Libra:

Is – the rune of ice, cold, lonely, independent but frozen. Combined with the Air sign of Libra whose ruling planet is Venus, you may find relationships and emotions frozen in time. Use the infamous Libran fairness and equality to balance both sides of any argument.

Relationships may reach an impasse in 2020 leading to feelings of loneliness but also independence. Give it time and wait for the warmth of the Sun rune, Sigel, to come and melt the ice.

GYFU in the position of Scorpio:

“Offering to the Gods” is the meaning of Gyfu, symbolic of gifts of love, spirituality and friendship and linked to Venus, you may give or receive an actual gift or provide some other sacrifice, e.g. time, money, advice. Whilst a positive rune, it is important that all gifts are given freely if our relationships are to run smoothly or resentment and bitterness creep in. Scorpio is a Water sign ruled by Pluto, God of the Underworld, brooding and intense, possessive and controlling, powerful, passionate and exciting.

Be sure the price of the gift is worth it.

PEORTH (reversed) in the position of Sagittarius:

Peorth represents a mystery or secret in your life that, being reversed, will be revealed. Sagittarius, a Fire sign, is linked to travel, honesty, education and intellect.

Are you being honest with those around you or yourself even? Is it time to face some honest truths or to reveal a secret that you have been holding back?

FEOH (reversed) in the position of Capricorn

Abundance is generally foretold by Feoh however as it is reversed, the opposite can be true. Conservative and resourceful Capricorn, an Earth sign, disciplined and wise, could be just what is needed to avoid or make the best of financial difficulties.

The ever-practical Capricorn influence dilutes the potential financial calamity foretold by this rune – provided you work with it. 2020 is a time to grow up financially. In debt? Make a plan to get out of it. Want to get on the housing ladder? What are your options? Just like with health, when it comes to wealth, prevention is better than cure.

ANSUR (reversed) in the position of Aquarius

Ansur is strongly linked to the wise, ancient God, Odin and being reversed, suggests a need to listen to those older and wiser than ourselves and to watch for a tendency towards problems with those in authority. Positioned in the Air sign of Aquarius whose watch words include “I know”, intellectualism, individuality, and rebelliousness, this could indicate a need to watch our attitude to others.

Make 2020 a year where you really try to listen to others as otherwise Ansur placed in Aquarius, with its rebellious and eccentric nature, could stir up a world of trouble for you across all areas of your life. Instead treat 2020 as a year for you to become the student not the master and benefit from the wisdom and knowledge of everyone around you who is willing to share their expertise with you.

GER in the position of Pisces

Ger is the rune of cycles, linked to the Wheel of Fortune card of the tarot, seasons, harvests and karma. Pisces, the final Water sign, is dreamy and emotional, sympathetic, sensitive and artistic.

2020 will be the year where you will reap what you sow. Dream big and be creative and artistic to uncover a new direction for yourself. Be there for others but be sure to take time to recuperate and try to link your daily life more closely to the seasons.

Happy Birthday Virgo!

Sun Sign Birthday Special: Virgo

It’s Happy Birthday time to those known as the hardest-working folks in the Zodiac, Virgos! The ideal time then to delve a little deeper and get inside the heads and hearts of those associated with the sign of the Virgin and take a look at what it is that makes them tick…

Who They Are

In a lot of ways, Virgoans are like the Monica Geller of the 12-signs: practical, organised, sharp, grafting and fussy, with an eccentric enthusiasm for cleanliness and a strong desire for security and stability.

Often introverted and modest by nature, they are also known too for their tremendous loyalty and kindness, especially to animals. Being the second of the three Earth signs (Taurus being the first and Capricorn the final), those born under the sign of Virgo tend to have a deep love and connection to the planet if they choose to embrace a love of nature.

Home & Family

As with all the Earth signs, home and family are especially important to the Virgoan who likes to run a very tight ship – with their highly renowned analytical attention to detail and impressive intellect immensely helpful in this regard.

Career

In career, these talents make for valuable assets too, along with good communication and an ability to argue their point successfully and factually as well as being creative; someone who “thinks outside the box”.

Health & Well Being

Virgoans have a tendency to enjoy a good worry! Their analytical mind can tick over the most minutiae of detail that most of us wouldn’t even think of. Understandably, that can make them prone to stress, mental health issues such as anxiety and/or depression, as well as upset nervous and digestive systems generally. It’s important that the Virgoan is allowed to take time to recharge and refresh whether by simply soaking in a relaxing candlelit bubble bath or a full blown massage/spa day to help them switch off from time to time. Yoga and meditation would make excellent forms of both exercise and rejuvenation for the Virgo.

Love & Relationships

The Virgoan in love is loyal and kind, strong, stable – and can be a bit slow to warm up! Virgoans have a reputation of being “picky” so they’re unlikely to be the jump right in type. They usually want to make sure that it will work out, that the person’s right for them and their life. It may not seem romantic but at least you know if you’re picked out by a Virgo, it’s been a well-thought out choice!

General

This slow and steady, down-to-earth approach to life combined with a love for the simple things in life defines the typical Virgo-born but, as with all signs, there can be some difficult typical traits too:

  • A sometimes overwhelming shyness;
  • Overly cautious;
  • Lack of self-confidence and belief;
  • Overly critical;
  • Fastidious;
  • Can appear cold/harsh;
  • Perfectionist

Birthday Ideas

Whilst the Virgoan in your life will no doubt like actual presents too, maybe the best gift you can give for their birthday is letting them know how much you appreciate them and all the little things they do for you.

For the Virgo, taking a day off from it all, even to celebrate their birthday, might feel something of a challenge with their hardworking tendencies. Surprise parties might also be off-limits for the typically shy Virgoan, who can often feel uncomfortable taking centre-stage. Instead, finding a way to help the Virgo unwind, relax and recharge their batteries might be a better received way to celebrate.

Overview

In essence, the Virgoan is a head-over-heart realist with a big heart for the right person. Whilst they can too often chastise others over the smallest matter, (such as not stacking the dish-washer just so) for those who aren’t particularly practical or interested in the day-to-day, mundane matters of life, they can be life-savers, happy to be of service in organising and dealing with these often thankless tasks.

If you’ve got a special Virgo in your life, make sure you let them know how much you appreciate them this birthday and all the little things they do for you year-round. Encourage them to take some well-earned time-off to celebrate together in whatever way they choose and this alone could go a long way towards doing that.

Bear in mind that the above article describes a person’s typical Sun Sign Virgo traits only and that an individual’s full birth chart details would be required to be more accurate to that individual.

How the New Moon Energy Could Affect You: 2 – 9 July 2019

From around 8:16 p.m. (UK time) on 2 July 2019 the New Moon will be in the sign of Cancer so, time for an energy shift!

What is New Moon Energy?

New Moons are all about:

  • fresh starts;
  • setting your intentions as to how you will move forward from your current position;
  • “planting seeds” to grow as the New Moon does.

It’s my absolute favourite Moon, full of promise and a chance to start again on a blank page.

What to Do in the New Moon Energy?

Questions to ask yourself at a New Moon:

  • Where in my life could I “start again”?
  • What can I do now to start over in this area of my life?
  • When will be the best time to act on these intentions?
  • How can I prepare to give myself the best opportunity of progressing in this area of my life at the right time?

If you did the groundwork at the Last Quarter Moon of reflecting and assessing progress to date, you will have a strong foundation to begin answering these queries.

Otherwise, that’s what you’ll need to reflect back on now before being best placed to answer these questions.

What About the Sign the New Moon is in?

With the New Moon in the sign of Cancer to begin with, the focus will be very much on home and family life and how you balance your responsibilities here with appropriate self-care and self-nurturing. The sign of Cancer has strong associations to maternal instincts, caring, protective tendencies but is at its best when it does so having first set down boundaries.

Cancer is a Water sign so think feelings, emotions, intuition and immense depth too in all these areas. A time to be with those who make you happiest to really enjoy the more positive aspects of Cancerian energies.

And There’s a Solar Eclipse

A total Solar Eclipse on 2 July 2019 really supercharges this New Moon energy by helping you do a life detox, getting rid of things that no longer serve you to create room for the things that do.

It’s a time of shaking things up, or forward progress and upgrading your life. A time when opportunity comes looking for you – in short, they are portals of change. You may discover your “life purpose” in these energies. A date with destiny. It may be a wake-up call to shake up a family or friendship dynamic.

The Takeaway: If you’ve been reflecting in the last week or so you can now deal with planning areas to adjust/improve in, especially around those closest to you, your friends and family.

Do make sure you have reflected on any lessons learnt to avoid repeating them in this new cycle in order to progress onwards.

With the Solar Eclipse, your plan may turn out to be quite radical and unexpected, so it may not be entirely well-received at first. It feels an exciting energy, where anything can happen; just be sure to prioritise home and family when it matters most.

Using this week as a time for planning progress in the next cycle will give people time to adjust to your unusual ideas, before actually implementing those plans in the better energy of the First Quarter Moon for taking action from 9 July 2019, if possible.

Stay connected to your home and family this week to really capitalise on breathing new life into these areas.

Until next time….

Mercury Retrogrades

Miscommunication Likely!

A planet is said to be in “retrograde” when it appears (although in fact is not), to be going backwards due to its position in the sky. As you might guess, this means that during a retrograde period, we can feel as though we too are getting nowhere fast.

The Mercury Effect

Retrogrades can be at their most trying a few times a year when it involves the planet of Mercury. The next Mercury retrograde begins in Leo on July 7th and lasts until 2 August 2019. In both the pre- and post-retrograde period, things can start to feel a little off as we acclimatise to this slower energy.

Mythology

Mercury, is named of course after the Roman God of the same name and linked with Hermes, a God and messenger of the Gods in Greek mythology, both of whom were known for their associations to commerce and trade, travel and communication as well as both being tricksters.

The Leo Effect

Mercury will be retrograde in the sign of Leo, associated with the Sun, creativity, inspiration, self-expression and communication as well as a tendency towards dramatics. However, the Sun itself is currently in Cancer season. Cancer is linked to the Moon that, conversely, can be self-protective, an illusive, secretive nature, emotive and sensitive.

So, What Does it Mean For You?

Well, not to sound dramatic myself, but usually a Mercury Retrograde is approached by most with some trepidation! Generally, approached with caution to avoid chaos and confusion, some of the less cheerful aspects of this energy include frustration or delays, often in matters of business, travel and communication.

Having said that, on the plus, it’s a good time to reflect on the past as intuition is usually pretty strong. This can lead to more synchronicity being noticed by you now and therefore is a better energy for making plans rather than big changes.

Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail

To best prepare for this energy shift now, it pays to be open-minded whilst reflecting to gain valuable insights from the past that can be benefited from during the planning retrograde energy.

How to Ride Out the Retrograde

Once Mercury goes retrograde on 7 July, do what you can to avoid miscommunication and, where possible, avoid entering into contracts or starting anything new. Of course, not everything can wait until after 2 August, so if it’s something you still need to proceed with now, you need to check and double-check the small print to avoid delays and frustrations as much as possible.

Be creative and communicate, expressing yourself; just don’t overdo it. One can be too honest with this kind of Leonine energy or, alternatively, if the Moon is more prominent in your birth chart, you may clam up and hide your feelings when what you need to do is the opposite. Also, as the Moon governs emotions, and Leo is expressive, this might lend itself towards melodramatic responses and behaviours if you react without thinking, so perhaps count to 10!

With all this drama queen, sensitive energy around, it can feel like there’s a “glitch” in the system, something not quite on form or running at full speed, so it can be trying but at least we’ve got that upbeat Leo energy bursting through, full of confidence and self-expression. Even just remembering that this time is trying for everyone can help us be more compassionate with ourselves and others during times of Mercury Retrograde.

But a time as well to reflect and plan as well as wonder at your intuition and the noticeable coincidences so certainly not all bad. Shortly after 2nd August, the energy lifts as Mercury goes “direct” i.e. forward and the glitch is gone.

So instead of dreading the Mercury retrograde, this time I’m going to try and embrace it, especially given some of the other big planetary energy shifts coming up next week (more on this on Monday 1 July). Being halfway through the year, it seems a good time to look back on the last 6 months and take stock of progress and setbacks, to see if we’re on course for where we expected ourselves to be right now at the start of 2019. Crucially, we can then adjust our course to ensure we make up any lost ground or readjust our expectations if needed.

It’s a similar sort of energy to what we’ve had this week already with the Last Quarter Moon in many ways – more on that here:

https://myholisticliving.co.uk/2019/06/24/how-the-last-quarter-moon-energy-could-affect-you-25-june-2-july-2019/

Because it’s a follow on of the same sort of “slow”, reflecting energy of the Last Quarter Moon in Aries, it may feel doubly frustrating. Again, distracting yourself from time to time might be a good way of enjoying the playful Leo energy with close friends and family or those you feel comfortable expressing yourself with. That’s what I plan to do anyway!

On that note, I wish you all a Happy Mercury Retrograde 🙂

Last Quarter Moon Energy: 25 June – 2 July 2019

Last Quarter Moon Energy: 25 June – 2 July 2019

From around 10:46 am (UK time) on 25 June 2019, the Moon will be in its Last Quarter in the sign of Aries.

What is Last Quarter Moon Energy?

We are back in a time of reflection after revelling in the harvest of the Full Moon energy of last week. As such, it can all feel very much an anti-climax; a hangover or comedown.

If we let it, we can be dragged down by this energy into a wallowing in self-pity in any way we feel we missed the mark in the last cycle, or, where we see the lesson in it, we can instead recognise this, see where we can improve and come up with a road-map to be put to use in next week’s New Moon energy, of where you are now and where you want to get to. Next week will be a time to put the finer detail to it but, for now, analyse your progress as a whole since the last cycle, to get a better insight into the bigger picture.

What is Aries Energy?

Aries is the action-man energy of the entire Zodiac. It’s a real “go-getter” feeling; an impatience to get started which is what, in my view, makes this energy somewhat challenging. In our haste to get started, we may not see the value in this time of withdrawal and reflection, instead wanting to not lose the momentum.

The Sun in Cancer Energy

But the Sun is in Cancer which is a much gentler, maternal energy, feminine and deep with their emotions. It is in balancing these two equally powerful energies that is the key to successfully working with them.

It won’t be easy though – Aries is the tell it like they see it energy which will immediately bring to light any areas of disagreement in feelings and actions in squaring the deep-feeling Sun in Cancer.

What to do in the Last Quarter Moon in Aries Energy?

  • Reflect on the good and the bad from the last cycle – what worked, what didn’t, what could you do differently next time?
  • Learn the lessons in your reflections now so as to make better use of next week’s energy.
  • Practice patience – engage in those activities that distract from taking hasty action until a more opportune time presents itself.

The Takeaway:

If you spent at least some time last week enjoying the fruits of your labours, you’re in the best possible position to make the most of these energies having a better appreciation of what worked and what success meant to you. Otherwise, you’re starting point is to do this now – What have you learnt during the last moon cycle? How can you use what you have learnt to continue to grow?

Once you’re armed with this information, you’ve got yourself a basic road map of where you are vs where you’re trying to get to. The equivalent to a Google Maps search; you may not know the detail of how to get there yet but you’re aware of the general direction.

It is also a time to practice patience, which isn’t easy with Aries energy; distract yourself from time to time this week so that you pace yourself. Enjoy the build up to the New Moon’s energy next week, taking time for self-care and recovery from the excesses of the harvest of the Full Moon, which should be enlightening in itself.

Until next week’s New Moon energy….

Strawberry

Strawberry Moon Energy: 17-25 June 2019

Moon Energy Update

What is Full Moon Energy?

We’re probably more used to hearing about Full Moon energy than any other phase of the Moon. In stories and superstitions throughout history, there have been legends and rumours of transformations during a Full Moon as everything is revealed by the brightest glare of the Moon. e.g. Werewolves, for example.

And so from around 9:30 a.m. UK time on 17 June 2019, we will have a Full Moon starting in the sign of Sagittarius. This Moon is also known as the Strawberry Moon by Native Americans, being traditionally their time of year for collecting this ripened fruit. Other names for it include the Honey Moon/Mead Moon and the Lovers Moon.

As always during the time of a change in the Moon’s phases, it can shake the energy up a bit for a day before/after it changes. Full Moon’s are about amplification, a bit like thinking about something so much you almost will it into existence, whether good or bad. A way to make the most of this type of energy and to shift to a more positive state of mind would be to practice gratitude. Even if its as little as noting all the little things you have, from an umbrella in the rain to having had an enjoyable day, jot down 3 things maybe every night that you’re grateful for from that day.

Full Moons are a time of “reaping what you’ve sown, so far”, so assessing where you started in your current particular journey, where you are now and where you are in relation to where you want to be. As the 6-monthly point for the year, this may mean reflecting back on the first half of 2019 and thinking back on intentions set and assessing your progress. If you’re on track, great – keep on doing that and if not, what could you do to change course?

Reaching the potential of the Full Moon also means getting ready for a new cycle beginning as you reach the peak of the last one.

As the Full Moon is in the sign of Sagittarius, at least at first, this can be a lighthearted energy, as well as a moment to open up and be genuinely curious about others, yourself. It is an optimistic time if you are able to re-focus on your goals and dreams, as the planning helps in you feeling confident and secure in your pursuits.

Just beware of being so focused on your future goals and dreams that you forget to appreciate what you have here and now. Again, practising a mindful gratefulness regularly can help centre you and remind you of the bigger picture.

What to do in the Full Moon Energy?

  • Reap your harvest from the work you have been doing recently;
  • Feel more abundant by focusing on what you do have as well as what you would like to progress towards;
  • Review and readjust your course based on progress to date;
  • Get ready for a new cycle starting.

This week, the energy should shift to something more manageable – the hard work has been done. There’s still a way to go but you’re on the home run.

The week overall feels positive but hyping up a future outcome like this can make the present feel dull and lifeless, no matter how promising in reality. Take time this week to practice gratitude to remind you that even if you haven’t got everything you want, you have got everything you really need at that precise moment. That might be all you need to do to tap into this optimistic energy.

The Takeaway: A time of celebration after the hard work of planting our seeds, nurturing them into fruition and now harvesting. We get to take stock, an inventory of how we’re doing, with real focus and clarity.

If we manage to not get too attached to specific outcomes then this energy can be exciting and adventurous. It can give us the motivation to aim big as we set, or re-set, our next intentions. Even if it means starting again, you’ll be better prepared for what you learned from your last attempt.

Full Moons are exciting because they are so revealing – a moment of truth and wonder, with secrets being discovered, again good or bad. It feels really spontaneous and fun.

After this week, we’ll be in the Last Quarter Moon Energy when it will be a time for deeper reflections, of purging and letting go, a releasing. Now is a time then to enjoy the moment of our “harvest” and live light, knowing that the next energy will be a heavier one.

Until next week’s Last Quarter Moon Energy Update…

First Quarter Moon Energy: 10 June – 17 June 2019

Moon Energy Forecast

What is First Quarter Moon Energy?

From approximately 7 a.m. GMT today, we have what is known as a First Quarter Moon in the sign of Virgo. It will look like a half moon but the term quarter relates to the astrological positions of the Sun and the Moon causing a right-angle as opposed to the shape we see in the sky.

A First Quarter Moon is a very different energy to that of last week’s New Moon, so give yourself space to settle into this new energy. It can be a powerful time indeed, especially if during the New Moon, you made your plans and set your goals and intentions, now is the time to take action. Those “seeds” planted last week, now start forcefully pushing through, whether you feel ready or not, so you may feel a strong urge to take decisive action – just make sure it’s the right move and you’re not just being impulsive to avoid causing yourself unnecessary drama!

Being in the sign of Virgo, you should also ensure you’ve dotted all the “i’s” and crossed all the “t’s”. The devil is in the detail where Virgo is concerned so ensure you’ve checked and double-checked any paperwork or agreements before pushing forward.

What to do in the First Quarter Moon Energy?

This week is an excellent time to:

  • Feel more energetic – get any outstanding jobs done now to make the most of this energy boosted period;
  • Rid yourself of bad habits – smoking, drinking, junk food, lack of exercise. This is a great time to kick start your health and well-being plans;
  • Be decisive – once you’ve checked and double-checked the detail and you’re happy all is in order, press on with your plans, goals and intentions with your new-found energy.

Virgoan energy is determined and hard-working which might be just what you need whilst the Sun is in fun-loving Gemini, helping you to get that dreamed of project off the ground with a firm, solid foundation.

This energy can lead to a bit of a need for perfection – whilst it’s important to check the details and to not act impulsively, it’s also important to harness the powerful First Quarter Moon energy now, so remember that things don’t have to be perfect, they just have to be thought through and planned for. Otherwise, there’s a danger you’ll miss the boat altogether!

The Takeaway: Lights, camera, action! Take your plans from last week’s New Moon, double and even triple-check the detail, make your decision and then go for it! If you didn’t make the most of the planning energy of last week, all is not lost – you’re just going to have to make up lost ground first so even more reason to think carefully before acting.

Next week we will be in the Full Moon energy from 17 June 2019, a generally auspicious time when everything becomes amplified – good and bad. Whilst hard-work now is recommended to get your plans off the ground, a better idea would be working smart so that you don’t run yourself into the ground in the process and end up with overwhelmingly strong emotions then in that amplified energy.

The Full Moon is a time of even more expansion and fruition as your plans continue to grow as an unstoppable force. It’s also a time of illumination under the full glare of the light of the moon, when secrets can be revealed, so avoid doing anything now that you wouldn’t want to be exposed in next week’s energy!

Until next week’s Full Moon Energy Update…

Moon Phases

New Moon Energy: 3 June – 10 June 2019

Moon Energy Update: 3 June – 10 June 2019

What is New Moon Energy?

From around 11:00 a.m. on 3 June 2019, we have a New Moon in Gemini lasting until around 10 June 2019. What this means is that for a couple of days you may feel a little unsettled this week as you adjust to this new energy.

But, once you do find your feet again, this can be a promising time. New Moons are all about fresh starts, setting your intention as to how you will move forward from your current position and “planting seeds” to grow as the New Moon does.

We also have to consider which of the Signs the Moon is “in” – in this case, the sign of Gemini, the Twins. Gemini is an Air sign (along with its sister signs of Libra and Aquarius), which is associated with the intellect, the mind, thoughts and communication.

Because of this, this can be an excellent time to speak to others before starting a new venture, relationship, job opportunity or making a decision, with a keen emphasis on listening to someone rather than it being you doing all the talking. You don’t have to take their advice but it may help you think about your query on this new start in a different way that you might otherwise not consider.

Once you have your idea, it promises to be an explosive one – if you’ve done the groundwork and talked and listened to others first! Gemini and new thoughts or ideas tend to have something of the “light-bulb” or “eureka” moment about them; an epiphany, a stroke of genius. Then you can start your preparations to put your plans into action at the best time astrologically, the First Quarter Moon on 10 June.

Gemini is also about fun and spontaneity, moments of unexpected laughs and enjoyment so get out and do things on the spur of the moment. With your “new ideas”, be flexible and remember that nothing is set in stone; you can change your mind if you want to if you later discover a different and better way to achieve your desires. Just leave yourself plenty of room to manoeuvre and change your mind at this time and this energy can be very fun and exciting.

The Takeaway: For those of you who spent the Last Quarter Moon reflecting on your progress since the last New Moon in May, you may have a clearer idea of where you’re headed going forward and may now be choosing between a couple of options. For those not yet there yet, you’ll need to do this before making the most of the New Moon June energy.

Once you have a couple of ideas however, this is an excellent time to seek out the views of trusted friends and family or even professional advisers. But do ensure that you listen as well as talk, which can be tricky when the Moon is in Gemini. Write it all down and come back to it later when your “light-bulb” moment may well strike.

When you do decide on a way forward, keep it flexible and just start to put things in place, as a better energy for actually putting that idea into motion will be the First Quarter Moon on 10 June if possible.

And remember to keep it spontaneous and have fun!
